Sending an e-mail is a bit of an obstacle course. I don't like these security gadgets either, but they are what we now have to defeat the automatic e-mail address gatherer-robots who spew back all kinds of ick, yuck and snooze. Less spam makes it easier to find and answer your letters, it came with the Authors Guild Sitebuilder, so we all have to put up with it or send a real surface letter until something better comes along.
